ENDLESS MEMORIES
Nowhere in the country is there a closer group of people. Everyone who grew up in Vegas in the '60s and '70s has an unbroken connection. It was a town full of energy, business growth, success, and lifelong friendships. I'm so very grateful for all the memories I've shared with hundreds of the classmates of Clark High School. See you in April to celebrate LIFE!!!
It will be great to see old friends who were once part of some of the best days of my life. The world has changed so much... but the memories of those days always bring a smile to my face. WOW!! 50 years. I will never forget the CHS class of '72. The year of Champions and I look forward to seeing you all at the reunion
The children of gamblers, entertainers, engineers and pilots, thrown together in a hostile desert that reminded us daily—if you can thrive here, you can accomplish anything. So, from the 1970s Clark High School, our Plato’s Academy, our Olympia, we journeyed forth, and when people said to us “You’re from Las Vegas? Nobody is from Las Vegas.” We just smiled.
Little did we know that while attending Clark High School that we were
standing on the shoulders of giants, as we learned and grew. With the
skills we learned from our teachers and help of our fellow classmates we
have over these many years became the giants for others to stand on. As
I look at the accomplishments of our alumni I am in awe of the acts of
service we have given in raising our families and helping others in
careers, aiding our communities.
I thought of who is our most outstanding alum, the elected official,
doctor, lawyer, wealthiest? I can't choose as we all have touched the
lives of many!
I can't think of Clark without thinking of the teachers and friends who impacted my life. Richard Paulin who I worked for, Ms. Peterson who taught me to love English, Mr. Mills who was an amazing history teacher and Brian Cram who inspired and entertained all of us. Remember when we, the class of 73 stood over 600 strong and shouted "Long Live the King" three times at graduation because he was leaving? So many of my lifelong friends who, helped shape the person I would become. I hope to see everyone next April.
